INCOM Transceivers are used for UHF / VHF communication for ground-to-air and air-to-air. The transceivers are interfaced on MIL-STD-1553 interface to INCOM Controller, which is cockpit-mounted, and provide an operator interface. INCOM transceiver, along with the controller, form an important part of aircraft communication
INCOM Controllers provide ON/OFF control, Rotary switch, a set of self-illuminated back-lighted keys and 12-character alpha-numeric LED display for operator for selection of channels, mode and frequency of the INCOM transceiver. It features an illuminated panel, which aids the pilot in operating the unit under low-light conditions. It is housed in a machined Aluminium enclosure.
The unit is fully qualified for Airborne use on Fighter Aircraft platform, and conforms to the required environmental standards, including MIL-STD-810D, MIL-STD-461D and MIL-STD-704D.
Antenna Control Unit (ACU) controls an antenna, which tracks a flying object in both the Azimuth and Elevation axes.
ACU is a 19" rack mount equipmet, comprising of:
The embedded software is based on Vx Works. It has been validated to DO-178B Level C.
Auxiliary Display Unit (ADU) has been designed, manufactured and deployed for use on submarine platform. It acts as an operator interface to a Super Heterodyne Receiver.
Using the ADU, the operator can program the Receiver to scan the frequency spectrum of 8000 - 18000 MHz. The receiver can be programmed to adopt different search strategies like SCAN and STEP, with different values. Lockout frequencies can also be programmed from ADU. In addition to enabling the configuration of the receiver, ADU displays information reported by the receiver, which includes track information (i. e. frequency spectrum), along with applicable parameter values including RF attenuation, IF attenuation and IF bandwidth. ADU also accepts direct video pulse and displays the same in time domain display, representing both the PRF and PW traces, with programmable sweep rates.
ADU has the following key features:
